When Do We Get To See These Disney Heroes on the Big Screen?

What do you get when you cross famous Disney male characters with homoerotic designs? Well, for one, you get a very awkward arousal from me. But, more importantly, you get artist David Kawena’s incredible artwork from his Disney Heroes collection.

I’ve admittedly seen a few of these images around the net for some time now, but other than a passing appreciation for the design, I’ve never paid them much attention. I came across David Kawena’s Facebook and Tumblr pages last night, however, and I’ve been transfixed by his work since then.

I understand perfectly that these are drawings of cartoons, but I’m weirdly attracted to all of them, and I really don’t know how to feel about that. I don’t get how Disney manages to do this to me. I will watch any given wilderness show on Nat Geo and see nothing but a dangerous, predatory lion. The second Disney becomes involved, I start realising how good-looking Simba is. What the actual hell?!

Anythisistroublingindeed, David Kawena’s work isn’t limited to sexifying Disney hotties. He also does beautiful images of Disney princess, as well as his own original artwork. In addition, he has amazing skills at photography, and has even photographed Madonna on tour.

Check out a few of my favourite of David’s Disney Heroes after the jump, and visit his Facebook and Tumblr pages for more of his work.
