Sarah Paulson Interviews Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal Interview

It’s a real treat when two actors who play fan favourites on two of the most popular shows on television turn out to be really great friends in real life. Such is the case with Sarah Paulson of the AHS saga and Pedro Pascal of Game of Thrones. Pedro’s run on GoT is unfortunately at an end, but that hasn’t made his character, Oberyn Martell, any less beloved now.

In a new piece of Interview Magazine, Sarah interviews Pedro and every word of the piece is a testament to their years of friendship. I’d actually thought that they’d dated at some point, because quite a few sites have them listed as having been romantically involved. The interview, however, hints at nothing but an old and strong friendship, and they discuss a variety of topics, including Pedro constantly dragging Sarah to watch horror movies against her wishes, which is totally ironic, considering the show she now stars on.

They also discuss Game of Thrones and the now infamous death scene:

PASCAL: There wasn’t any part of it that was somber. Everyone thought it was hilarious that my head was being smushed like a watermelon. Everyone was so fascinated by the special effects of it. We had a lot of fun. It was me clowning around with a guy who was seven feet tall and 200 pounds in this beautiful location in Dubrovnik.

On how his life has changed since the show:

There’s a side of it—like leaving the apartment and running into someone who wants to take a selfie with you where they’re crushing your head.

Head on over to Interview to read the article in its entirety. The two of them are just perfect together… and “snake penis” is my new go-to insult.
